Exciting projects this month and next!!

FIRST UP....

YOU SOUND LIKE A GIRL. Ever heard that phrase? Ever used it? Our show explores the use and judgement of the female voice and how it affects women's perception of themselves and others. Through this performance we ask: what does it mean to sound like a girl?

After an incredible residency at The Dragon's Egg in Mystic, CT we are back in NYC rehearsing for our first premiere workshop. During the residency, a group of 6 of us explored common themes, language, and experimental performances all revolving around prompts in the spirit of "you sound like a girl". Our director Colleen Hughes led us through the exercises and Thomas Brennan guided us vocally. Both Tom and Colleen have over the last year or so led workshops of their own with diverse groups of female-identifying people to hear their stories and opinions about this subject. And now finally, a show is born!

The Dragon's Egg in Mystic, CT

Performances: 8/24, 8/25, 8/26 at 7:30pm. The Hive.
